The Office follow-up series has officially been picked up at Peacock. The streaming service announced that it is developing a new comedy from Greg Daniels and Michael Koman that’s set in the same universe as the NBC series The Office. The Office had a nine-season run on NBC from 2005 to 2013 and starred Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer. The new, untitled series is a mockumentary starring Domhnall Gleeson (Harry Potter) and Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus). "The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch is in search of a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters," an official synopsis reads. The show will begin production in July.
